A Message from the President

The Catalysis Society of Taiwan is organized to promote the research, development and education of catalysis science & technology in Taiwan. Our society welcomes supports from academia and industry. We held conferences, workshops, seminars, bilateral meetings, international conferences, and encourage our members to go abroad to participate international meetings and to establish collaboration worldwide. The annual conference of the society (Taiwan Symposium on Catalysis and Reaction Engineering) is held in summer every year for researchers, experts, and students of all fields in Taiwan, who are interested in catalysis. It has been the 40^th in 2023.

In 2022, we organized and held our first Taiwan International Conference on Catalysis (TICC-2022) in Taipei. The second TICC (TICC-2023) has been held in Tainan in 2023. It is expected that TICC will be held every or every several years in Taiwan in coming years, and can provide an internationally renowned forum for researchers, to present the latest research results, and to promote international friendships.

Our society has been a founding member of Asian-Pacific Association of Catalysis Societies. In my term as a president of our society, we shall try to apply for membership of International Association of Catalysis Societies (IACS), so that we can have more opportunity to communicate with catalysis societies worldwide.

Any suggestions on improving the development of our society will be very much appreciated.
